If you have ever wondered how a life of a miner looks like, you may be interested in visiting Salt Mine in Wieliczka. It is an underground complex, that consists of nearly 2,400 chambers. Those are connected by sidewalks with total length of 245 km. It is an important part of Polish history, located near culture and historical capital of Poland – Cracow.
While being on tour, you will have a chance to visit chambers and chapels that were left by thousands of miners, who worked hard by extracting salt and spend their lifetime underground. Other gems of their activity are sculptures craved in salt.
Afterwards, you will see an underground lake that is 9 meter deep in the lowest point.
