The tour starts at Tourist Information Office at Plac Szczepanski, where you will be welcomed by guide, in close vicinity of Main Market Square in Krakow. Later on, you will walk through Planty Gardes, the astonishing Brabican and St. Florian’s Gate. You will proceed via Florianska St. and reach to the Main Market Square, where guide will tell legends about St. Mary’s Basilica. Cloth Hall, St. Adalbert’s Church and the Town Hall Tower with the head of Eros Bendato beneath are other attractions that await for you here.
Next place to visit is University district that consists of the Jagiellonian University – Collegium Maius (the oldest academic building in Poland) and Collegium Novum (the rector’s office), and learn some facts about WWII. You will continue by treading the path of pope John Paul II who is one of the most important figures in Polish history.
Short break for lunch and rest will take place after walk through the Old Town, and you will have a chance to try some of famous Polish desserts.
Later on, you will be touring around Kazimierz, a district that was created from a former city, that is a centre of Jewish culture, where Polish and Jewish history mixes up. The synagogues and cemetery are definitely worth-seeing places, with their interesting stories and legends. Corpus Christi Church is next place to visit. Blended architecture styles create unforgettable experience. Then, you will finish the tour next to the Wawel Castle, majestic residence of Polish kings and a source of interesting and exciting history.
